Author Guidelines

Authors submitting manuscripts to The Journal of Artificial Intelligence and Human Sciences (YZIB) are expected to comply with the journal's aims and scope, publication ethics, peer-review procedures, and manuscript preparation requirements.

Before submission, authors should carefully review the following guidelines.

1. Scope and Originality

Submitted manuscripts must be relevant to the Aims & Scope of YZIB and should present an original and scientifically meaningful contribution.

Manuscripts must not have been previously published in a peer-reviewed journal and must not be under consideration by another journal at the same time.

Preprints are permitted in accordance with the journal's Preprint Policy.

2. Language

The publication language of YZIB is English.

Manuscripts should be written in clear, concise, and academically appropriate English. Authors are responsible for ensuring the linguistic quality of their manuscripts before submission.

3. Manuscript Types

YZIB considers the following types of scholarly contributions:

  • Original Research Articles

  • Review Articles

  • Short Articles

  • Scientific or Technical Notes

The manuscript type should be clearly identified during submission.

4. Manuscript Preparation

Authors should prepare their manuscripts in accordance with the journal's current formatting and submission requirements.

The manuscript should normally include, where applicable:

  • Title

  • Abstract

  • Keywords

  • Introduction

  • Materials and Methods / Methodology

  • Results

  • Discussion

  • Conclusion

  • Acknowledgments

  • Author Contributions

  • Funding Statement

  • Conflict of Interest Statement

  • Ethics Statement

  • Data Availability Statement

  • Declaration regarding the use of AI-assisted technologies, where applicable

  • References

The organization of the manuscript may vary according to the nature and methodology of the study.

5. Double-Blind Peer Review

YZIB applies a double-blind peer-review process.

Authors must ensure that the manuscript file submitted for peer review does not contain information that directly reveals the identities of the authors.

Author names, institutional affiliations, ORCID identifiers, acknowledgments that reveal identity, and other identifying information should be provided separately where required by the submission system.

6. Authorship and Contributions

All listed authors must meet the requirements specified in the journal's Authorship & Contributorship Policy.

An Author Contributions Statement should be provided. The use of the CRediT Contributor Roles Taxonomy is encouraged where appropriate.

All authors must approve the manuscript before submission.

7. Ethical Approval and Informed Consent

For research involving human participants, animals, personal data, or other activities requiring ethical oversight, authors must provide the relevant ethics approval information.

Where applicable, the manuscript should include:

  • name of the ethics committee or institutional review board;

  • approval date;

  • approval/reference number; and

  • information regarding informed consent.

Authors are responsible for ensuring compliance with applicable ethical and legal requirements.

8. Conflict of Interest

All manuscripts must include a Conflict of Interest Statement.

If no conflict exists, authors may state:

Conflict of Interest: The authors declare that they have no conflicts of interest.

Relevant financial and non-financial competing interests must be disclosed in accordance with the journal's Conflict of Interest Policy.

9. Funding

All sources of financial or institutional support should be disclosed.

Where applicable, authors should provide the name of the funding organization and grant or project number.

If the study received no specific funding, this may be stated explicitly.

10. Research Data

Original research articles that generate or analyze research data should include a Data Availability Statement in accordance with the journal's Research Data Policy.

Authors are encouraged to make supporting data, code, and relevant research materials available whenever ethically, legally, and practically possible.

11. Use of Artificial Intelligence

The use of artificial intelligence, generative AI, large language models, or other AI-assisted technologies must comply with the journal's AI Policy.

AI systems cannot be listed as authors.

Substantive use of AI-assisted technologies in the research or preparation of the manuscript must be disclosed where required.

Authors remain fully responsible for the accuracy, originality, integrity, and content of their manuscripts.

12. References

Authors are responsible for the accuracy and completeness of all references.

References should be relevant to the study and prepared consistently according to the journal's required reference style.

Where available, DOI information should be included and verified.

Fabricated, inaccurate, or unverifiable references are not acceptable.

13. Tables, Figures, and Supplementary Materials

Tables and figures should be clearly numbered, appropriately titled, and referred to in the manuscript text.

Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to reproduce copyrighted third-party material where required.

Supplementary materials may be submitted when they contribute to the understanding, verification, or reproducibility of the research.

14. Submission

Manuscripts must be submitted electronically through the YZIB online submission system.

The corresponding author is responsible for ensuring that:

  • all authors have approved the submission;

  • author information is accurate;

  • all required declarations are complete; and

  • the submitted files comply with journal requirements.

Incomplete submissions may be returned to the authors before editorial evaluation.

15. Editorial and Peer-Review Process

Submission of a manuscript does not guarantee peer review or publication.

All manuscripts first undergo editorial screening. Manuscripts considered suitable are evaluated according to YZIB's Peer Review Process.

The journal reserves the right to reject manuscripts that fall outside its scope or do not meet its scientific, ethical, or publication standards.

Submission of a manuscript to YZIB indicates that the authors have read and accepted the journal's relevant policies.

Submission Preparation Checklist

Before submitting a manuscript to The Journal of Artificial Intelligence and Human Sciences (YZIB), authors must ensure that the following requirements have been met:

  • The manuscript is within the Aims & Scope of YZIB and presents an original and scientifically meaningful contribution.

  • The manuscript has not been previously published in a peer-reviewed journal and is not currently under consideration by another journal.

  • Any previous preprint dissemination has been disclosed in accordance with the journal's Preprint Policy.

  • The manuscript is written in clear and academically appropriate English.

  • The manuscript has been prepared in accordance with the journal's current formatting and submission requirements.

  • The manuscript file has been properly anonymized for double-blind peer review, and author names, affiliations, ORCID identifiers, acknowledgments revealing identity, and other identifying information have been removed from the blinded manuscript file.

  • All listed authors meet the requirements of the journal's Authorship & Contributorship Policy, and all authors have approved the submitted version.

  • An Author Contributions Statement has been provided where required.

  • A Conflict of Interest Statement has been included, including a declaration of no conflict where applicable.

  • All sources of financial or institutional support have been disclosed in a Funding Statement, where applicable.

  • Required ethics committee/institutional review board approval information has been provided for research requiring ethical oversight.

  • Information regarding informed consent has been provided where applicable.

  • A Data Availability Statement has been included for original research that generates or analyzes research data, in accordance with the journal's Research Data Policy.

  • Any substantive use of artificial intelligence, generative AI, large language models, or AI-assisted technologies has been disclosed in accordance with the journal's AI Policy.

  • Artificial intelligence systems have not been listed as authors or co-authors.

  • All tables and figures are numbered, titled, and appropriately cited in the manuscript text.

  • Permission has been obtained for any copyrighted third-party material included in the submission, where required.

  • All references cited in the manuscript appear in the reference list, and all references in the reference list are cited in the manuscript.

  • References, DOIs, URLs, and other bibliographic information have been checked for accuracy.

  • The manuscript does not contain fabricated, unverifiable, or AI-generated references that have not been independently verified.

  • Relevant supplementary files, datasets, code, appendices, or other supporting materials have been uploaded where necessary.

  • The corresponding author has verified that all author names, affiliations, contact details, and ORCID identifiers entered in the submission system are accurate.

  • The authors have reviewed and agree to comply with the journal's Publication Ethics & Malpractice, Peer Review, Authorship, Conflict of Interest, AI, Research Data, Preprint, Complaints & Appeals, Corrections & Retractions, and Open Access/Copyright policies.

Articles

This section includes original research articles that fall within the aims and scope of The Journal of Artificial Intelligence and Human Sciences (YZIB). Submissions should present original, scientifically meaningful, and methodologically sound research. All manuscripts submitted to this section are subject to initial editorial screening and double-blind peer review in accordance with the journal’s editorial and publication ethics policies.

Review

This section includes review articles that critically synthesize and evaluate the existing literature within the aims and scope of The Journal of Artificial Intelligence and Human Sciences (YZIB). Review articles should provide a clear scientific contribution, identify current trends, gaps, and future research directions, and be based on a comprehensive and appropriately documented literature review. All manuscripts submitted to this section are subject to initial editorial screening and double-blind peer review in accordance with the journal’s editorial and publication ethics policies.

Case Report

This section includes case-based studies that present original, practice-oriented, or context-specific applications within the aims and scope of The Journal of Artificial Intelligence and Human Sciences (YZIB). Submissions should clearly describe the case context, problem, methodological approach, implementation process, findings, and implications for research or practice. Case reports should provide a meaningful scientific or professional contribution beyond a purely descriptive account. All manuscripts submitted to this section are subject to initial editorial screening and double-blind peer review in accordance with the journal’s editorial and publication ethics policies.

Letter to Editor

This section includes concise scholarly letters that provide comments, critiques, clarifications, or academically relevant perspectives on topics within the aims and scope of The Journal of Artificial Intelligence and Human Sciences (YZIB), including, where appropriate, discussion of articles previously published in the journal. Letters should be focused, evidence-based, professionally written, and should contribute meaningfully to scholarly dialogue. Submissions may be subject to editorial evaluation and, where appropriate, external peer review depending on their content and scientific nature.

Copyright Notice

Authors who publish with The Journal of Artificial Intelligence and Human Sciences (YZIB) agree to the following terms:

  1. Authors retain the copyright to their work and grant YZIB the right of first publication.

  2. Articles published in YZIB are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0), which permits sharing and adaptation of the work provided that appropriate credit is given to the original author(s) and the initial publication in YZIB is acknowledged.

  3. Authors may enter into separate, additional non-exclusive arrangements for the distribution or reuse of the published work, including deposit in institutional or disciplinary repositories, use on personal or academic websites, or inclusion in books and other scholarly works, provided that the original publication in YZIB is appropriately acknowledged.

  4. Authors may share appropriate versions of their manuscripts before and during the submission process in accordance with the journal's Preprint Policy.

  5. Authors are responsible for obtaining permission to use any copyrighted third-party material included in their manuscripts.

The names, email addresses, affiliations, and other personal information entered into The Journal of Artificial Intelligence and Human Sciences (YZIB) website and submission system will be used solely for the stated purposes of the journal's editorial, peer-review, publication, and scholarly communication processes.
