Ethical Principles
The publishing processes of The Journal of Artificial Intelligence and Human Sciences are based on the production, development, and sharing of impartial knowledge using scientific methods. Peer-reviewed articles are fundamental to ensuring the application of scientific methods and impartiality. In this regard, all participants in the publishing process—including publishers, editors, authors, reviewers, and readers—must adhere to ethical principles.
In alignment with this, the journal’s publishing ethics and open access policy comply with the guidelines and principles published by the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE), such as the “COPE Code of Conduct and Best Practice Guidelines for Journal Editors” and the “COPE Guidelines for Journal Editors.” Additionally, The Journal of Artificial Intelligence and Human Sciences adheres to and implements the publishing principles of Index Copernicus.
If manipulation, distortion, or falsification of data used in submitted articles is detected, such articles are rejected, and the authors’ affiliated institutions are formally notified. The journal reserves the right to request raw data files for verification based on feedback from editors and/or reviewers.
Publisher's Ethical Responsibilities
The publisher of The Journal of Artificial Intelligence and Human Sciences is a nonprofit entity prioritizing public interest. Since 2024, the journal has been a key resource in the social sciences under the management of its editorial board.
Editorial Board members are appointed for a term of up to one year, renewable at the discretion of the editor-in-chief. The board includes a chief editor, associate editors, and field-specific editors as needed. Departing members are replaced promptly, and decisions regarding the extension of tenure are made transparently.
The editor may assign articles to external experts (at least holding a doctorate) for review, depending on the topic's relevance.
Responsibilities of the Editorial Board
The Editorial Board of The Journal of Artificial Intelligence and Human Sciences oversees all stages of the publication process, even after articles are published. Decisions are made independently of personal interests and are guided solely by considerations of public benefit.
Key responsibilities include:
• Continuously improving the journal's quality and policies.
• Ensuring the implementation of ethical principles and processes, including blind peer review and evaluation.
• Protecting the copyrights of authors and intellectual property rights associated with published works.
• Preventing unethical practices such as plagiarism and citation manipulation.
• Preparing and updating resources such as an "Author's Guide" and "Reviewer’s Guide" to assist participants in the publishing process.
• Motivating and engaging authors and reviewers.
Ethical Responsibilities of Editors, Associate Editors, and Field Editors
Editors are responsible for providing necessary information, ensuring transparency, and facilitating constructive communication among authors, reviewers, and readers. Editors are committed to:
• Publishing articles based on their originality and contribution to the field.
• Considering the article’s methodology, reliability, clarity, and relevance to the journal’s scope.
• Applying double-blind peer review while maintaining the confidentiality of reviewers.
• Assigning articles to reviewers based on their expertise to ensure unbiased evaluations.
• Ensuring the protection of personal data, human and animal rights, and compliance with ethical standards.
• Taking appropriate action in cases of misconduct or ethical violations.
• Protecting the intellectual property rights of published articles and addressing potential violations.
Ethical Responsibilities of Reviewers
The Journal of Artificial Intelligence and Human Sciences implements a double-blind peer review system. Ethical responsibilities of reviewers include:
• Accepting only articles related to their expertise for review.
• Conducting objective and confidential reviews, avoiding personal biases.
• Declining reviews in cases of conflict of interest.
• Providing constructive feedback in accordance with academic standards.
• Completing evaluations within the allocated timeframe.
Ethical Responsibilities of Authors
Authors submitting to The Journal of Artificial Intelligence and Human Sciences must adhere to the following principles:
• Submitting original work that has not been published or submitted elsewhere.
• Citing sources accurately and ethically.
• Reporting any conflicts of interest.
• Providing raw data if requested during the review process.
• Documenting ethical approval for studies involving human or animal participants, including the name, date, and approval number of the ethics board.
Authors must also ensure compliance with copyright regulations and obtain prior permission for using third-party materials. Articles should acknowledge any necessary approvals explicitly.
Reporting Ethical Violations
Any unethical behavior related to editors, reviewers, authors, or submitted manuscripts should be reported to yzib.journal@gmail.com.
Authors are responsible for securing permissions for figures, diagrams, schemas, tables, and texts used in their work. Proper acknowledgments should be provided in accordance with copyright requirements.
