Open Access, Copyright & Licensing Policy

The Journal of Artificial Intelligence and Human Sciences (YZIB) is an open-access journal committed to the free and unrestricted dissemination of scholarly knowledge.

1. Open Access Policy

All articles published in YZIB are made immediately and permanently available online without subscription or access charges.

Readers may access, read, download, copy, distribute, print, search, link to, and otherwise use published articles in accordance with the terms of the applicable Creative Commons license.

YZIB supports open access in order to promote the global dissemination, visibility, accessibility, and reuse of scientific knowledge.

2. Copyright

Authors who publish in YZIB retain the copyright to their work.

Authors grant YZIB the right of first publication and authorize the journal to publish and disseminate the article as the original publisher.

Copyright is not transferred exclusively to the journal.

3. Creative Commons License

Articles published in YZIB are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License (CC BY 4.0).

Under this license, users may:

  • copy and redistribute the material in any medium or format;

  • share and distribute the work;

  • adapt, remix, transform, and build upon the material; and

  • use the material for any lawful purpose,

provided that appropriate credit is given to the original author(s), the original publication in YZIB is acknowledged, a link to the license is provided where appropriate, and any changes made are indicated.

The license applies unless otherwise stated for specific third-party material included in an article.

4. Author Rights

Authors may:

  • share the published article;

  • deposit the article in institutional or disciplinary repositories;

  • make the article available on personal or academic websites;

  • use the article in teaching and academic activities;

  • reuse parts of the article in future scholarly works;

  • include the article in theses, dissertations, books, or other academic works, where appropriate; and

  • enter into separate non-exclusive arrangements for distribution,

provided that the original publication in YZIB is appropriately acknowledged.

5. Self-Archiving

YZIB permits and encourages authors to archive appropriate versions of their manuscripts in:

  • institutional repositories;

  • disciplinary repositories;

  • personal or academic websites; and

  • recognized preprint servers.

Authors should provide a citation and link to the final published version in YZIB once the article has been published.

Preprint-related practices are governed by the journal's Preprint Policy.

6. Third-Party Material

Authors are responsible for obtaining any permissions required for copyrighted material owned by third parties, including:

  • figures;

  • photographs;

  • tables;

  • illustrations;

  • datasets;

  • questionnaires;

  • scales; and

  • other protected content.

Material not covered by the article's CC BY 4.0 license should be clearly identified with the applicable copyright or licensing information.

7. Article Processing Charges

YZIB does not charge authors any submission, processing, evaluation, or publication fees.

There are no Article Processing Charges (APCs).

Authors are not paid royalties for articles published in the journal.

8. Reader Access

No registration, subscription, or payment is required to access published articles.

The journal does not impose financial, legal, or unnecessary technical barriers to access its scholarly content.

9. Version of Record

The final version formally published by YZIB constitutes the Version of Record.

When authors share other versions of the manuscript after publication, they are encouraged to provide the DOI or permanent link to the Version of Record.

10. Licensing Information

The full terms of the Creative Commons Attribution 4.0 International License are available from Creative Commons.

YZIB reserves the right to update this policy in response to developments in open-access publishing, copyright, licensing, and scholarly communication.
