The General Publication Director is responsible for the overall publication framework of the journal while respecting the independence of editorial and peer-review decisions.

Editorial Independence

YZIB maintains editorial independence in all decisions concerning submitted manuscripts.

  • scientific quality;

  • originality;

  • methodological rigor;

  • relevance to the journal's aims and scope;

  • research and publication ethics; and

  • contribution to the scholarly literature.

The journal owner, publisher, sponsors, institutions, advertisers, or other external parties do not interfere with individual editorial decisions.

The Editor-in-Chief and responsible editors retain authority over the journal's editorial content and publication decisions.

Separation of Ownership and Editorial Decisions

Ownership of the journal does not provide the owner or publisher with authority to influence the outcome of individual manuscripts for personal, institutional, financial, commercial, or other inappropriate reasons.

Where the journal owner, publisher, Editor-in-Chief, editor, or Editorial Board member is an author of a submitted manuscript or has another relevant conflict of interest, that individual will have no role in the peer-review process or final editorial decision for that manuscript.

The manuscript will be handled by an independent editor without a relevant conflict of interest and will undergo the journal's standard peer-review process.

Commercial and Financial Independence

Editorial decisions are independent of commercial or financial considerations.

No payment, sponsorship, institutional relationship, personal relationship, or other external interest guarantees or influences the acceptance of a manuscript.

Where applicable, information regarding publication charges or the absence of such charges is communicated transparently to authors through the journal website.

Transparency

YZIB is committed to transparency concerning its:

  • ownership;

  • publisher;

  • editorial leadership;

  • peer-review process;

  • publication policies;

  • contact information; and

  • financial or publication-related conditions.

Any material change in journal ownership or publishing responsibility will be reflected on the journal website and in relevant official records.
